WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats head coach Richard Agar has confirmed that he intends to bring former Cronulla Sharks playmaker Tim Smith to the club on a one-year deal.
Smith, 26, is a free agent after his release from the Sharks and Agar revealed that the move to Wakefield will go ahead “subject to work permits”.
The same applies to the signing of 22-year-old New Zealand Warriors half-back Isaac John who is awaiting the green light on his proposed move to Trinity.
Agar’s recruitment drive doesn’t end there however and he also revealed to the Wakefield Express that he would like “two or three more signings” while also opening the door for younger Trinity players to seek dual-registration deals at other clubs.
