WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats have signed prop forward Kyle Amor after a successful loan period at the club.

Amor, 24, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract to take him from Leeds Rhinos, who have the option to resign him in 2012.

The prop spent last season on loan at the Wildcats where he scored five tries in 24 appearances and picked up the members’ player of the year award at the club’s end of season presentation evening.

Amor said: “I am really looking forward to another season with the Wildcats. My future is now secure and I can concentrate on playing well all season for Wakefield.

“I’ve loved being at Wakefield this year and can’t wait to get started with the new coach and the new players.”

Wildcats chief executive James Elston said: “This is a unique deal to be done between both clubs. It is great that Kyle will be classed as Wakefield player and if Leeds do not recall him, I am looking forward to seeing Kyle impress at the prop forward role for the next three seasons here.

“I would like to thank Gary Hetherington at the Rhinos for his time and co-operation with this deal.”

Meanwhile, Trinity have released centre Josh Griffin who joined the club on loan from Huddersfield Giants this season and made 18 appearances in the red, white and blue.
