Wildcats name squad mixed with youth and experience for latest Nines outing

WAKEFIELD Wildcats have named a squad mixed with youth and experience for tonight’s Rugby League Nines tournament at Halifax RLFC.

The third round of the competition, which takes place at The Shay, will see six games take place between the Wildcats, Bradford Bulls, Halifax and Hull FC.

Full-back Matt Blaymire has been named in the Wakefield squad, while fellow first team regulars Paul King, Josh Veivers and Dale Morton will also get outings.

Young French players Stan Robin and Samy Masselot will get another chance after impressive performances in the last round of the competition.

Admission is priced at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and juniors and under-12’s go free.

The Wildcats will get the tournament underway when they face hosts Halifax at 7.30pm.

Full Wildcats squad: Blaymire, Morton, Veivers, Spiers, Robin, Masselot, King, Kaye, Tate A, Trout, Henderson, Hardcastle, Parkinson, Cowling and Grayston.
