Jon Molloy scored a try in his first game following a loan move from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to Kingstone Press Championship side Sheffield Eagles.

The 24-year-old completed a switch to Eagles on a month long loan on Friday and then crossed the whitewash for Sheffield in their 40-6 win over London Broncos yesterday, Sunday.

Trinity head coach James Webster said: “Jon has been training really well this pre-season and with him going on loan to Sheffield for a month will allow us to have a match fit player ready for the Easter period, which we will know will require the majority of our squad to play.”
