WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats will head to next week's Rugby League 9s finals as Eastern Division winners.

Wildcats, coached by Glenn Morrison, won all three of their matches at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium in the final festival of the competition on Tuesday night.

It left them topping the table with a record of 11 wins from a possible 12 going into next Tuesday's finals night at Headingley Carnegie Stadium in Leeds.

Wakefield had already qualified for the finals going into the final festival but still surged to a hat-trick of wins on home soil, beating their Leeds Rhinos counterparts 22-16 in the opening match before recording victories over Huddersfield Giants (36-4) and Hull FC (28-0).

Isaac John and Frankie Mariano were included in Morrison's youthful squad.
