A clash between local rivals Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Castleford Tigers will be one of the choice games in this year’s Magic Weekend at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.

The fixtures for Magic Weekend have been revealed with four matches to be played on Saturday, May 17 and another three on Sunday, May 18.

The action kicks off on the Saturday at 12.30pm when London Broncos face Catalan Dragons, with the English club looking to avenge a 46-18 defeat in the corresponding fixture last year.

At 2.45pm, Widnes Vikings and Salford Red Devils do battle in a re-match of one of the closest contests of 2013, when Salford emerged victorious with a 28-22 win.

The cross-city derby between Hull FC and Hull KR takes centre stage from 5pm before Super League’s defending champions Wigan Warriors take on 2012 Grand Final winners Leeds Rhinos at 7.15pm.

The Wildcats’ derby with Tigers is the first game on Sunday, at 12.30pm, and Huddersfield Giants go up against Bradford Bulls at 2.45pm.

The weekend’s action concludes with Warrington Wolves taking on St Helens at 5pm.
