WAKEFIELD Wildcats have confirmed the departure of four players.

As reported in last week's Express, Paul Johnson has completed his move to Super League rivals Hull FC, while hooker Andy Ellis has moved to Featherstone Rovers for 2013.

Johnson had been offered a new deal to remain at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium but instead opted for a two-year deal at the KC Stadium.

Ellis has made the short switch to Co-operative Championship Rovers, where he spent a spell on-loan last season, on a two-year deal. The 27-year-old played a key role in Wakefield's club record-breaking seven game winning run in Super League this season but the return of Paul Aiton from injury for 2013 is likely to push him further down the pecking order.

Wildcats have also confirmed that youngsters Dale Morton and Russ Spiers will leave the club when their contracts expire later this year.
