Skipper Danny Kirmond has returned to the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ 19-man squad for the trip to Catalan Dragons on Saturday.

Kirmond missed the wins over Widnes Vikings and Leeds Rhinos with an ankle injury picked up late in the draw with Hull FC but returns for the trip to France having taken part in full training this week.

Kirmond’s return is one of two changes to the squad with Jarrod Sammut recalled having spent recent weeks on dual-registration at Featherstone Rovers.

Andy Raleigh and Chris Annakin are the two men to drop out of the 19-man squad.

Daniel Smith remains ruled out with a knee injury that could sideline the prop for a further three weeks with Pita Godinet a long-term absentee, also with a knee injury.

Dean Collis has an outside chance of returning to face Huddersfield Giants at the start of August having started running on grass this week.

Squad: Mathers, Lyne, Sykes, Anderson, McShane, Lauitiiti, Kirmond, Washbrook, Wildie, Ryan, Moore, Tautai, Keinhorst, Sammut, Scruton, Riley, Owen, Gilmour, T Smith.
