WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats prop Russ Spiers has secured a move to Co-operative Championship One side Doncaster RLFC on a dual-registration deal.

The 20 year-old has struggled to make an impression on Richard Agar’s first team this season but will now get a chance to shine at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Agar said: “It has probably been a bit frustrating for Russ. He is training great and he is itching for a game.

“We are really pleased that Doncaster have agreed to take him on dual-registration so he will get some games.”

Spiers’ move to Doncaster comes hot on the heels of hooker James Davey’s dual-registration move to Jason Demetriou’s Keighley Cougars.
