THREE fighters out of Wakefield’s White Rose Boxing Club will be on the bill tonight, Friday, at Kellingley WMC, Knottingley.

Tom Sowerby, 13, and Jordan Pickup, 12, both fight opposition from Billericay, Sowerby taking on Nathan Lucas at 42kg and Pickup facing G Stevens at 39kg.

Nineteen year-old Scott Stevens, at 75kg, completes the White Rose contingent with a contest against West Leeds’ Anthony Wainwright.

Sowerby goes into his fight fresh from an impressive majority decision in Hull last weekend, when he defeated Scarborough’s Connor Osbourne to take his record to four wins from five fights.

The White Rose boxers will be joined on the bill by two young fighters from Alpha Boxing Club, Hemsworth, who will be making their debuts in the ring.

Dwayne Watson and Tez Benson, both 18 years-old, will fight at 66kg in bouts against Scott Cutforth, from the Phoenix club, Nottinghamshire, and Luke Frost, from Billericay, respectively.
