“Emily already had ‘Superfans’ before we arrived who had either found her on the Internet or had heard of her by word of mouth and they came to multiple shows and she made many more committed fans along the way.

“One of these is Jeff Matthews, a lovely Liverpudlian chap now living in Yorkshire, he hosted a show last year which was very well attended and this year he was looking to set up something in a slightly bigger venue to accommodate the increasing demand.

“Effectively the show at the Queen’s Mill came about because of Jeff’s friendship with the founder of the CAT Club – Kevin ‘Rev’ Reynolds.

The CAT Club is a group of music enthusiasts who gather to listen to and discuss classic albums often with a guest presenter, hosted at the mill.
