Of course he’s most famed for his appearances as Dave Lister in long running cult classic comedy TV series Red Dwarf, in which he starred alongside Christopher Barrie, Robert Llewelyn and Danny John-Jules.

And for 10 years he was a regular on the famous cobbles of Britain’s longest running soap opera, Coronation Street, playing taxi driver Lloyd Mullaney. He left the show in 2015 to film more episodes of Red Dwarf.

He was a presenter of the gladiator-style game show Robot Wars from 1998 to 2004 and next year will become presenter of Channel 5s The Gadget Show.

Throughout all that Craig Charles has continued to embrace his love of music hosting The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC 6 Music. It is the station’s longest running show and pulls in its highest ratings.

And it is the spirit of this show that Craig takes out onto the road for a series of DJ sets.

Craig has been appearing at some of the UKs biggest festivals, and now he’s bringing the show to Unity Works, Wakefield on May 12 at 9pm.

Tickets for the gig are £15 and you can get more information from 01924 831114 or online from www.unityworks.co.uk/events
