Last chance to attend exhibition on the history of Rugby League
An exhibition about the history of Rugby League at Castleford Museum has entered its final month.
The ‘In a League of Their Own’ display has been up since last year but will be removed on Saturday, March 28.
It includes kits, balls and trophies to programmes down the years, tickets and fan equipment from the West Yorkshire clubs.
Highlights include the rugby shirt of legendary 1880s Wakefield Trinity player Harper Oliver Hamshaw and the ball with which Castleford’s Arthur ‘Brus’ Atkinson broke the record for the longest penalty kick in 1929.
The exhibition is free to enter.
