International hockey is coming to Wakefield

Wakefield is set to be the venue for an international hockey tournament.

The NOW: Pensions Nations Cup will be staged between August 1 and 4 at Wakefield Hockey Club on Eastmoor Road.

Matches include England vs The Netherlands Mens and England vs Malaysia at U21 level.

The tournament is being marketed as a chance to see world class international hockey and as a family event. There will be a fun zone to entertain children between matches.

Wakefield Hockey Club president Chris Partridge, said: “Wakefield Hockey Club is delighted to host this series of international matches. The club has had strong links with the Netherlands since 1998, through our sister club in MHC Muiderburg, and we always look forward to all forms of international opportunities.”

Tickets cost £20 for adults and £7.50 for U18s
