Welsh songstress Bryde is set to bring her powerful pop songcraft to Leeds when she takes to the stage at the Oporto venue on Tuesday, April 17.
Hailed as “sensational” by The Sunday Times, this bright new talent is readying the release of her debut album ‘Like An Island’ and will be playing tracks from it at the Leeds gig.
Recorded between LA and London, the album will be released on her own independent and female-centric label Seahorse Music on April 13.
Striking a masterful balance between spacious atmospherics and out-and-out rock, Bryde comes recommended for fans of Warpaint, PJ Harvey, Big Thief.
So far industry support for Bryde has come from Nylon, DIY, TLOBF, and Consequence of Sound, who called her “a voice that deserves attention”. She was one of the stand-out acts at last year’s Live At Leeds and had people queuing round the block for an stunning early performance on day three at The Great Escape festival.
Support in the form of Women Make Musicfund from PRS has been awarded to assist the release of ‘Like An Island’.
