Future dream

WAKEFIELD rock outfit Euphoria Audio are rallying support as they battle for a place on top festival stages this summer, writes Colin Strachan.

They will perform at the Cockpit, in Leeds, in the first stage of this year’s Futuresound bands competition on Tuesday night.

The winner of the competition will secure a place on the NME stages at this year’s Leeds and Reading festivals.

Guitarist Ben Lloyd said: “We haven’t played locally for a while and we’d really appreciate people’s support.

“It’d be fantastic to play on a festival stage. But there are more than 50 bands in the competition and we’re expecting some good competition.”

Euphoria Audio also consists of Matthew Shirtliff on vocals, Ben Hughes on bass and Josh Hughes on drums.

Tuesday’s gig will start at 7pm, and it costs £4 on the door to get in.
