Caroline is hosting the fundraiser to give something back to the group for helping her with her own struggles.

She said: “I want to raise awareness of mental health, physical problems we can see but mental health problems are invisible illnesses.

“We all know someone struggling with their mental health, but it can often be hard to recognise, these mental health problems even appear in children.

“Groups like Thinking Forward 4 Mental Health are needed so people know that they don’t have to suffer on their own or feel shame.

“As someone who suffers with poor mental health, I really want to get the awareness out there for anyone who’s suffering so they more money we raise them more people the group can support.”

The karaoke night will be held on Wednesday, February 19 at Castleford Sports and Social Club from 7pm to 11pm.

Caroline said: “I’m very grateful for Angie and Andy at the club who let us use their venue and offer their services to help us.

"We want people to come down and have a good time while donating to a needed cause in the area."
