Change of venue for Mrs Fawcett’s Handbag

The costumed performance of Mrs Fawcett’s Handbag due to take place at Pontefract Town Hall on Wednesday May 4 at 7pm has now ben moved to Carleton Community Centre

It tells the story of Dame Millicent Garrett Fawcett GBE (1847-1929) , politician, writer and feminist, who campaigned for women’s suffrage and led the NUWSS from 1897-1919.

Civic Society members are free and others pay £3 on the door or via r via www.eventbrite.com.
