WATCH: Pontefract pub takes to TikTok with 'anything but a pint glass' prank
A Pontefract pub had a bit of fun with its regulars to help beat the January blues.
Customers ordering a pint at The Carleton, on Hardwick Road, had to double take when their drink arrived – in everything but a pint glass.
From shot glasses and wine glasses to coffee cups, there were lots of laughs as they were served.
General Manager, Jodie Hughes, said: “We came up with the idea for the video after seeing a couple of other pubs do the same trend.
"We have loads of regulars who we knew would be up for a laugh, so we made it our mission.”
Jodie said they have recently launched a TikTok page for the pub and increased their social media followers by showing guests the ‘real’ them.
"We like to include them in our content as much as possible, so anyone who is thinking of visiting us can see how friendly the whole team – and our guests – are.
“Our regulars absolutely love our videos and anytime I have my phone out ask if I’m ‘doing those Tiky Toks’!
"We have even got our very own customer Tommy, who is often the star of some of our content.
"It gets people talking about us and keeps them visiting the pub.”
