Super slimmers seven stone success

‘I began my weight loss journey in 2017, as I was struggling to do my job, My boss told me that I wasn’t physically suitable to continue my role and I loved my job. I knew I had to change something so I joined Slimming World.

I was so nervous I nearly walked away before I got through the door, but I knew I had to change something in my life for my health, well being and to keep my job!

In my first week I lost 7 1/2 lb, and by 2020 I had lost 6 1/2 stone - then covid happened!

Being my own, my daughter lived away, my parents were isolating and my sister was 150 miles away, the temptation to indulge became overwhelming!

By the time group reopened I had gained 5 stone, I was heartbroken. I knew the plan worked, so I got my head down and off I went again.

Now, I have not only lost the 5 stone I gained during Covid, I have now achieved my 7 stone award, and life is good!

Not only am I looking forward to the holiday of a lifetime to Canada, because of my weight loss I was able to have my hip replaced after being told that the surgical team would not risk operating on me until I got my BMI down to below 40. I got there in November 2024 and in December 2024 I had my operation. I really feel that I would not have been able to achieve this without the Slimming World plan, the guidance and support of my fantastic consultants and the love and motivation of my group!

I still have 3 stone to reach my target but I know I can get there, watch this space!!’
