New College Pontefract will celebrate its 2022 record breaking results with an Open Day for prospective students.

It follows results which showed an incredible 72% of all A-Level grades being an A*-B and 72% of Applied General grades being Distinction or Distinction*.

The college is looking forward to welcoming everyone to its first open event of the academic year for September 2023 entry.

Students considering the college for their further education – and their families – are being urged to attend the Open Day, on Saturday, October 15, from 10am-2pm.

They will to take a look around the TES 2020 Sixth Form College and Overall FE Provider of the Year and find out why it is rated as the third best sixth form college in the country for achievement in the latest release of data from the DfE.

Discover the wide selection of A-Levels and Level 3 Applied General qualifications that can be tailored to create the perfect study programme.

Visitors will be able to speak with students, teachers and support teams, including Progress Tutors, Careers and Study Support. They are also highly recommended to listen to the Principal's presentation.

Questions will be answered by the college’s award winning senior leadership team.

There's no need to register, but parking on-site is limited so give yourself plenty of time in case you need to find alternative parking in Pontefract before making your way to the college.

Additional parking will be available at Pontefract Collieries FC, at the end of Beechnut Lane.
