The Trust, who run Pinderfields, Pontefract and Dewsbury Hospitals, have centralised all coronavirus treatment at Pinderfields Hospital.

A total of 487 people in the Wakefield district have tested positive for the virus, according to the latest figures.

It comes as the Office for National Statistics confirm that, of the 88 deaths registered at Wakefield care homes between April 10 and 24, 37 involved Covid-19.

NHS England also confirmed that there had been at least 195 Covid-19 related deaths at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals since March 1.
