He is now hoping to become a registered charity and host bike workshops for children in the community to support them.

Thousands of pounds has been raised through the scheme, which has all been donated back to the local community including charities, organisations and families.

He said: "It's like I have a Santa's list and I am flying through them. It's gone mental! I thought I would have stopped by now but it has just got busier.

"To be where I am now from March is unbelievable and I am proud because I love working with bikes. It's my hobby, but to have it as a charity would be amazing."

The community has donated hundreds of bikes to the scheme and they have all been repaired to a high and safe standard.

"I really enjoy when I throw everything in the back of the car and I am driving around with the music on donating back to the community, I love it." Gav said.

Gav launched a Facebook page to allow people to receive updates, make a donation or to purchase a bike, for more information visit the page here.
