Communities will be able to bid for money to save their local pub, through the UK-wide community ownership fund. It's a four year scheme that will open this summer.

1. The Butchers Arms

Tony Easton said: "The Lion in Castleford, purely for the effort put into the place by Julie Lockwood, the camaraderie, the live music and the Magnificent Lionfest, that over the years has donated more than £40k to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service, a superb effort from the pub and testament to their clientele."
