'We can’t thank Pontefract enough': Bobby's Salt & Pepper celebrate success of new Pontefract branch

A popular takeaway business is celebrating the success of its new Pontefract branch after opening last month.

Bobby's Salt & Pepper opened on Finkle Street on August 17 to hundreds of customers queuing down the road.

The fast-growing, Chinese fusion takeaway chain has become extremely popular since opening their first shop in Ossett four years ago.

They now also have branches in Manchester, Leeds and Huddersfield – with Pontefract being the latest opening.

Director at Bobby’s Salt & Pepper, Stephen Kafai Cheung, said: “It feels very rewarding to open a new branch in Pontefract.

"With our fifth branch we wanted to continue what we know and open somewhere with a strong sense of community, Pontefract is exactly that!”

The business celebrated the new store opening by offering over 600 free sample boxes to locals.

“Opening day was nothing short of incredible." Stephen continued.

"The turnout was unbelievable and the energy that the people of Pontefract brought was amazing to see”.

Bobby’s Salt & Pepper’s first branch, on Dale Street, attracted customers across and beyond the region.

Their huge social media following is also what helped them expand past West Yorkshire.

However, the team was excited to open a branch not too far from their first.

Stephen said: “We get lots of customers from Pontefract and surrounding areas visiting our other branches and it’s lovely to be able to give them a Bobby’s more local to them!

"Never forget your roots!

“We can’t thank Pontefract enough, the amount of support received in just one week has been incredible and we are so grateful.

"It really showed us the power of good food and community coming together.”
