Following the government announcement this week, the outlet is busy implementing additional health and safety measures alongside queue management systems to ensure Christmas shopping is safe as well as enjoyable.

They say the health and safety of guests and staff is their highest priority and the following measures will ensure they can welcome guests back to Junction 32 in the safest possible way:

* Extended trading hours to offer shoppers more choice when to visit

* A second set of toilet facilities have been newly redesigned to help ensure visitors’ safety. Staff will regulate capacity and increased cleaning routines will be implemented

* A two-way system will be in place at entrances to the outlet to ensure social distancing can be maintained and capacity will be limited

* A queuing system for entry to the outlet will ensure social distancing can be maintained

* All centre cleaning and security staff will be provided with masks

* The wearing of face coverings whilst inside stores and toilet facilities will remain mandatory, and guests are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings in all public spaces. Staff have also been provided with masks

* Signs and floor markings will help remind guests to keep a safe distance apart

* Hand sanitiser points will be located throughout the centre

Darren Winter, Centre Director at Junction 32, said: “Safety is our highest priority. We’re working hard to ensure we adhere to all government guidelines at Junction 32, and will be continuing to take a robust approach to cleanliness and hygiene.

"As well as the thorough cleaning of the centre and our newly redesigned toilet facilities, we will be carefully managing capacity and centre staff will be available to help manage queuing.

"The wearing of face coverings whilst inside stores and toilet facilities will continue to be mandatory, with guests strongly advised to wear face coverings in all public spaces.

“In the lead up to Christmas, we will also be extending our trading hours, allowing guests to visit Junction 32 during quieter times.

"Shoppers are advised to check the opening times of individual stores, and we will continue to update our website and social media platforms to ensure everyone is kept up to date with our opening times and offers, along with the best time to visit and when we’re nearing capacity.

"While Christmas shopping will certainly be different this year, we want shopping to feel as safe and enjoyable as possible.”
