The Thirty Choo Express: Junction 32 unveils the name of its new festive train as voted for by locals
Junction 32, Yorkshire’s leading outlet shopping destination, is moving full steam ahead into the festive season after officially unveiling the name of its magical Christmas train.
The exciting Christmas train naming competition secured over 900 entries from shoppers and the local community, sharing their most creative name ideas.

With standout contenders such as ‘The Jingle Jangle Junction Express’ and the ‘Holly Jolly Express’, the outlet centre crowned local resident, and Junction 32 shopper, Amy Butterfield as the winner.
Her fitting entry, the Thirty Choo Express, was said to “perfectly capture the outlet centre and the spirit of the festive season”.
The big reveal took place on Monday, November 24 - marking the official start of Junction 32’s Christmas celebrations.
Winner, Amy Butterfield, was in attendance, kickstarting the festivities, and winning a £150 Nike gift card to spend at the outlet in the process.
Amy, winner of the Christmas Train Naming competition, said: “Junction 32 is local to me, and it’s always my go-to place whenever I need to shop. I follow J32 on Facebook and spotted the competition, so I thought I’d give it a try - never in a million years did I expect to win!
"The Polar Express is one of my favourite Christmas films, so when I saw you needed a name for the train, there was only one choice: The Thirty Choo Express!”
The Thirty Choo Express will be spreading festive cheer every weekend from the November 21, and daily from December 12 to December 24, between 10am and 5pm.
Visitors can enjoy festive fun aboard the train, including a Christmas writing station and a jolly craft and crochet workshop.
