100 homes for former Redcats site
Bridge Homes LLP, a joint venture between Wakefield Council and Wakefield and District Housing (WDH), is planning to build 96 new properties at a site previously occupied by the mail order firm Redcats.
The partnership was set up in 2012 to address a shortage of homes in the district.

The plans also include building 234 car parking bays.
The design and access statement said: “The proposed scheme is considered to be very high quality and the most suitable for this site.”
In November 2013 Wakefield Council’s cabinet approved setting up the joint venture with WDH.
The council has invested £3m from its capital budget into the venture, which would run for 10 years.
