The school held a late 90th birthday party for The Queen last Friday as they were away on a residential course when the monarch celebrated her birthday on June 11.

A school spokeswoman said: “We had a lovely picnic at school organised by our year 6 children. The children made sandwiches, home-made sausage rolls, and a showstopper: a classic Victoria sponge cake. The staff especially liked the cake.”

All 56 children, from reception to year six classes, also put on a talent show where they showed off skills like street dancing.
