Banners march to return to the streets of Wakefield
A parade to celebrate our district’s rich mining history will return to Wakefield next month.
Colours representing the district’s collieries will be marched through the streets of Wakefield as part of the With Banners Held High festival Saturday, May 18.
Up to 2,000 people marched at last year’s event.
