Body found near River Aire is missing Knottingley mum

Mrs Milton was reported missing in April and concerned friends and residents joined police in searches for the 42-year-old.

A passer-by spotted the body in Byram, near Ferrybridge, at around 1.15pm on Monday.

Mrs Milton’s family has been informed and a police spokesman said her death was not being treated as suspicious.

Chris Milton, Vicki’s husband, said: “I would like to thank the police and everyone else in the local community who offered their help and took part in the searches to find Vicki.”
