Mr Felstead, 47, who first impressed after being named Mr Doncaster more than 20 years ago, came out of retirement to take the top prize at the National Amateur Bodybuilding Association (NABBA) World Championships in Malta last month.

The superfit dad-of-one has now won every title on the NABBA circuit.

Mr Felstead, of Jacks Way, said: “After I won the Mr Universe title last year, the bodybuilding federation contacted me and said they would like me to represent the country at the world championships in Malta.

“I told my wife Andrea and she said ‘that’s our holiday sorted then’ so I told them I’d do it.

“It was an amazing competition. The universe championship is the biggest title you can get in amateur bodybuilding and the sheer scale of everything at the competition just blew me away.”

Mr Felstead, who ate a strict diet for 24 weeks prior to the competition, played football for Hemsworth Miners Welfare before taking up weightlifting and then bodybuilding.

He has previously won the titles of Mr Yorkshire, Mr England and Mr Universe.

He said: “Mr World was the only title in amateur bodybuilding I hadn’t won so I thought I would complete the set.

“It’s amazing to win. I competed against about 60 other bodybuilders from all four corners of the globe.

“I’ll still train. It’s in my blood and it’s a way of life for me now.

“I’d like to thank my wife Andrea, daughter Paige and Andy and Tracy Appleton who run Superflex gym where I train - they’ve all been a massive help.”
