Butchers proves a cut above with award

Wakefield firm Allums has been nominated for a Butcher of the Year (Yorkshire Region) award in the Northern Independent Retail Awards.

The family-run butchers is one of seven finalists from across the county.

The winners of the awards, organised by Creative Oceanic, will be announced in Manchester on Sunday, July 19.

The Brook Street butchers was recently named food retailer of the year and was highly commended in the customer service category at the Wakefield District Retail Awards 2015, run by the Express.
