
West Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit attended Notton Lane after the two-car smash at a junction at around 12.40pm today.
“This is a notorious intersection,” said PC Dave Robson.
The driver of a Skoda Octavia hit a Volkswagen Golf TDI which contained a mother and her two sons, aged eight and three, in the back.

The younger brother was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance as a precaution.
PC Robson, who attended the scene, is appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.
The four-way intersection is with Chevet Lane.
