COURT CASES: Magistrates order illegal Pit Bull Terrier be destroyed

Azim Ashraf, age 33, of Engine Lane, Horbury, admitted possessing an illegal dog, a Pit Bull Terrier. He was given a community order with 200 hours of unpaid work, ordered that the dog be destroyed unless an appeal is lodged and told to pay £180 costs.

Nicola Ann Hampshire, age 35, of Meadway, Streethouse, admitted drink driving by having 77 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath. The legal limit is 35 mcgs. She also admitted having no insurance. She was banned from driving for 20 months, fined £180 and told to pay £119 costs.

Adrian Piotr Dzienisiewicz, age 34, of Luxia Waterfront, Knottingley, admitted drink driving by having 53 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath in McDonald’s car park in Castleford. The legal limit is 35 mcgs. He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £300 and told to pay £119 costs.

Harry Thomas Roberts, age 32, of Wentbridge Road, Pontefract, admitted being drunk and disorderly at Newmillerdam. He was fined £33 and told to pay £119 costs.

Layden Clive Johnson, age 20, of Chequers Close, Pontefract, admitted being over the drug-drive limit for cannabis, having no licence, insurance or test certificate for the Ford Fiesta he was driving. He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £120 and told to pay £32 costs.

Karine Krimm, age 38, of Hazel Road, Knottingley, admitted being over the drug-drive limit for cocaine and was banned from the road for 12 months, fined £120 and told to pay £32 costs.

Mason Murdoch, age 20, of Gorton Street, Pontefract, admitted two counts of being over the drug-drive limit for cocaine, having no licence or insurance, He was banned from the road for 18 months, given a community order with 60 hours of unpaid work and told to pay £175 costs.

Joshua Poole, age 29, of Sussex Crescent, Castleford, admitted drink driving by having 55 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath. The legal limit is 35 mcgs. He also admitted having no insurance. He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £80 and told to pay £119 costs.

Callum John Halkyard, age 19, of The Green, Airedale, admitted stealing a VW Golf, and driving without a licence or insurance. He was given a community order with 105 hours of unpaid work, banned from driving for 12 months, and told to pay £95 costs.

Philip Lee Parkes, age 38, of Holgate Crescent, Hemsworth, admitted harassing a female by attending her address, sending text messages and making phone calls. He was jailed for eight weeks, given a restraining order of indeterminate length and told to pay £128 costs.

Catherine Lyman, age 20, of Redhill Heights, Castleford, admitted assaulting a female and was given a community order with 100 hours of unpaid work, a two-year restraining order, told to pay £400 compensation and £200 costs.

Connor Burdon Ferguson, age 25, of Pollards Fields, Knottingley, admitted being over the drug-drive limit for cocaine and having no insurance. He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £400 and told to pay £125 costs.

Mathew Storey, age 40, of Sheldrake Road, Castleford, admitted breaching a domestic violence protection order by phoning the victim. He was jailed for six days.

Liam Michael Craven, age 29, of Regent Street, South Hiendley, admitted damaging a kettle and was given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £107 costs.

Wayne Lee Jackson, age 45, of Willow Park, Pontefract, admitted failing to surrender to custody and was fined £40 and told to pay £119 costs.

Paul Darren Armitage, age 39, of Grange Road, Castleford, admitted stealing steak worth £34 and washing-up liquid worth £36 from Co-op in Castleford. He was already serving a suspended sentence for multiple thefts from shops. He was jailed for 24 weeks and told to pay £128 costs.

Cory Lee Cusworth, age 26, of Micklewait Avenue, Crigglestone, admitted drink driving by having 69 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath. The legal limit is 35 mcgs. He was banned from driving for 20 months, fined £300 and told to pay £129 costs.

Daniel Bailey, 46, of Wharncliffe Road, Wakefield, admitted three counts of interfering with vehicles with an intent to steal, including an Audi, Toyota and a BMW all parked on Handsworth Road in Wakefield. He was already subject to a community order for multiple theft from vehicles at the time. He was given a new community order with treatment for drug dependency, and told to pay £50 compensation.

Kyle Andrew Bibby, age 26, of Sparable Lane, Wakefield, admitted two counts of driving a BMW and a Mercedes while banned, and two counts of having no insurance. He was given a community order with 60 hours of unpaid work, banned from the road for 28 days, and told to pay £175 costs.

Sonia Powers, age 34, of St Oswald Road, Wakefield, admitted assaulting a female by spitting on her and pushing her against a wall. She was jailed for 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months and told to pay £207 costs.

David Lee Salisbury, age 40, of Beckbridge Way, Normanton, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Wakefield and was fined £50 and told to pay £119 costs.

Billy Joe Megson, age 21, of Shepley Street, Wakefield, admitted resisting arrest and was fined £40 and told to pay £34 costs.

Jamie Wilson, age 37, of Peterson Road, Wakefield, admitted criminal damage to a Vauxhall Zafira and was given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £22 costs.

Simon Paul Morley, age 41, of Hanson Avenue, Normanton, admitted drink driving by having 99 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath. The legal limit is 35 mcgs. He also admitted failing to surrender to custody. He was banned from driving for 24 months, given a community order with alcohol dependency treatment, fined £150 and told to pay £175 costs.

Emma Louise Bateson, age 36, of Leeds Road, Outwood, admitted drink driving by having 332 mlgs of alcohol in 100 mls of urine. The legal limit is 107 mlgs. She was banned from driving for 24 months and told to pay £180 costs.
