A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries in a crash near a pub in Knottingley.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a black Ford Fiesta and a black Lexmoto Enigma motorcycle.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, which occurred on The Square near to the Golden Lion Hotel, at around 5:30am Wednesday, March 8.

The motorcycle rider, a man in his fifties, suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.

His injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

The Fiesta driver, a 20-year-old male, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has since been released on bail for enquiries to continue.
