Police increase patrols at Thornes Park after reports of man making inappropriate comments

Police have been investigating reports of incidents, which have taken place over the last couple of days, and say a man has been identified and spoken to by officers.

Wakefield City and North West NPT said they are "working with partner agencies to ensure a suitable care plan is in place and that the suspect is safeguarded to prevent any further incidents taking place."

Neighbourhood patrols have been stepped up in the Thornes Park Area to provide reassurance.
