Pontefract Haribo shop would-be sweet thief: Suspect arrested
A man was injured after a window was smashed at the Haribo shop in Pontefract.
Police said the shop window had been smashed and a man attempted to reach through and take items from the display, causing superficial injuries.

A police community support officer held the suspect and he was later arrested at the scene of the incident on Front Street just after 2.30am on Saturday, October 11.
It was one of three arrests by Pontefract and Knottingley neighbourhood policing team on Friday night into Saturday morning.
Just before midnight on Spawd Bone Lane, Knottingley, police arrested a woman wanted for three thefts from shops.
At around 3.30am a suspect stopped at the Shell petrol station on Bondgate had a bank card that was not registered in his name.
The card had just been declined when he had attempted to buy something at the night counter at Shell.
He was held by a police community support officer and was found to be wanted on recall to prison.
Enquires were made regarding the suspected stolen bank card as the named holder was listed as living at a nearby address.
Police investigations found it was taken after a woman’s purse was stolen in a burglary when a house had been left insecure.
A West Yorkshire Police Wakefield East spokesperson said: “As a result, she was given her bank card back before she even knew it had been taken.”
