Three arrested over Eastmoor street stabbing

Three men have been arrested after a 28-year-old was stabbed in the face during a street attack on a Wakefield estate.

The male was attacked by a group on Greenwood Road on Eastmoor on Monday afternoon shortly before 2.30pm.

He was taken to hospital where he remains, although his injuries are not life threatening.

Three men aged 18, 20 and 21 have been arrested on suspicion of GBH.

Meanwhile, police are appealing for information.

Acting Detective Inspector Michelle Schofield of Wakefield CID, said: “We are continuing to conduct a number of active enquiries regarding this incident which has left the victim with some very serious injuries and are appealing for information.
