Two hospitalised after fight on Pontefract street

Police were called to a fight in Pontefract last night which left a man and woman needing hospital treatment.

Police were called to Monkhill Avenue shortly after 10pm yesterday evening.

The pair were taken to hospital with injuries and have since been discharged from hospital.

A 38-year-old man and 32-year-old woman have been arrested and remain in police custody at this time.

Neighbours reported that Police were still there outside the address this morning.

Enquiries are ongoing.
