Wakefield police officer to appear in court charged with sexual assault

PC Jody Shelley, aged 39, who is based in Wakefield, is charged with one count of sexual assault on a female over the age of 16.

The charge relates to an off-duty offence.

He is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates Court on Monday morning, February 16

He is currently suspended from duty.
