Woman taken to hospital after chemical substance thrown at her in Knottingley

A woman has been taken to hospital after a chemical substance was thrown at her from a moving van.

The victim, in her twenties, was walking along Hazel Road in Knottingley at about 1pm on Sunday, May 31.

The passenger of passing white van threw an unidentified chemical substance at her back, hitting her clothing.

She was treated at hospital for a chemical burn to the skin underneath.

Police have released an e-fit image, which the victim helped to compile, of the suspect and officers are appealing for the public’s help to identify him.
