A derelict house was damaged after a garage fire spread.

Firefighters from Wakefield were called to the property on Shepley Street at about 11.30pm on Friday.

The fire had spread from the garage and into the house.

No-one was injured in the incident.

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the cause of the fire is being investigated.
