The court heard police went to Grosvenor’s home on Carr Lane, South Kirkby, they discovered two mobile phones which were constantly ringing.

A man turned up at the address looking to buy drugs while police were there.

Grosvenor admitted possessing heroin with intent to supply.

Mitigating, Christopher Moran said: “He has been a heroin addict for many years. He has two children aged six and two.

“Part of the reason for supplying drugs wasn’t only to feed his habit, it was to help provide for them.”

Jailing Grosvenor for three years, Recorder Martin Simpson told him: “You had 85g which was broken down into several hundred individual deals. The values involved were several thousand pounds.

“It is clear it was on a significant scale. Your phone was constantly ringing like nobody’s business from people wanting to score from you.”
