Workers at a glass factory had to be evacuated after a fire broke out.

Fire crews were called to Stolzle Flaconnage, Weeland Road, Knottingley at around 10pm on Saturday.

A blaze in some containers outside the factory spread to the building and damaged the ceiling.

Watch Commander Darren Wales, of Pontefract Fire Station, said workers were evacuated and nobody was injured in the incident.

Firefighters from Pontefract, Castleford and Normanton attended the blaze.
