Fire guts furniture store

Fire crews were called out to an industrial building in Healey Road, Ossett, at around 9.30am.

Watch commander John Jackson said: “The whole building was involved when we arrived.

“It’s just a concrete structure stood up now. I would say about two-thirds of it is destroyed.”

Five appliances were used to extinguish the blaze at what is thought a bespoke furniture store.
