First glimpse of new 25-metre pool at £20m leisure hub

The 10-lane pool will be 25 metres long and forms part of plans that have been submitted to the planning department at Wakefield Council.

It is hoped that the planning process will be completed in the next three months and work can begin on the complex by early next year.

Along with the main pool, there will be a studio pool with a moveable floor.

There will also be four 3G turf tennis courts, a gym with more than 115 pieces of equipment, a cafe, soft play area, meeting rooms and parking space for 250 cars.
