Man appears in court over murder of Wakefield man
A man has appeared in court charged with murder in connection with the death of a 27-year-old man.
Aaron Swift, 33, of Trafford Apartments, Rotherham, appeared at Wakefield Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
He is charged with murder in connection with the death of Nicholas Williams.
Mr Williams’ body was found at a house on Bottom Boat Road in Stanley on Thursday, December 17.
During the brief hearing, Swift only spoke to give his name, address and date of birth.
Magistrates were told that the matter had to be sent straight to crown court.
Swift was remanded in custody and is expected to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.
