
The man was approached by another male in Queen’s Park between 5.30pm and 5.40pm yesterday (April 6).
The suspect asked the victim for a cigarette and threatened him when he tried to walk away.
The robber assaulted the man and made off with his mobile phone.
The suspect was a white man, aged 28 to 34 and of medium build. He was wearing a black hoody and had a local accent.

Detective Inspector Tim Hunt of Wakefield CID said: “We are conducting enquiries into this reported incident and PCSOs will be present in the park this evening.
“I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened, seen a man fitting the suspect’s description running from the park, or who has any information.”
