Man hit by bus on Doncaster Road in Wakefield
A man has suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a bus this morning (Wednesday).
A police spokesman said emergency services were called to the scene, on Doncaster Road, in Wakefield, at around 11.25am.
The air ambulance was called and a pensioner has been taken to hospital.
The road is closed between the junction with Agbrigg Road and Chantry Bridge.
Motorists have been told to expect delays.
